HydroBalls can be used as part of a planted or bioactive setup where excess water needs to be separated from the main substrate. Monitor moisture levels regularly and ensure the enclosure has appropriate ventilation and drainage management.

Our Pet Shop Tip
HydroBalls are particularly useful when building a planted or bioactive vivarium with a drainage layer. Place them beneath a suitable substrate and use an appropriate barrier between the drainage layer and substrate to help prevent the two layers from mixing. Regularly monitor the water level and moisture within the enclosure to help maintain suitable conditions for your pet and plants.
