Directions for Use
Before treatment, calculate the volume of your aquarium in litres and shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
For aquarium treatment, mix the required dose of NT Labs Methylene Blue with 1 litre of aquarium water and add slowly to the aquarium. Treatment can be repeated 4 days after the previous dose if required. Before repeating treatment, check that the diagnosis is correct, test your water quality and carry out a 30% partial water change.
For a treatment dip, add 2ml per 1 litre of fresh dechlorinated water in a non-metallic container. Add the fish to the treatment bath for no more than 10 seconds.
When treating individual wounds, undiluted Methylene Blue can be carefully dabbed onto the affected area using a cotton bud.
Always follow the dosage and treatment instructions supplied with the product.
Important: Methylene Blue can affect beneficial bacteria in the aquarium filter and may kill live plants and shrimp if overdosed. Remove activated carbon during treatment. The product can also stain skin, aquarium ornaments and silicone.

Our Pet Shop Tip
Methylene Blue is particularly useful to keep on hand for treating individual fish, fry and eggs. For fish with visible wounds or fungal growths, a separate quarantine tank or treatment bath can make treatment easier while helping protect the main aquarium.
Remember that Methylene Blue can affect beneficial filter bacteria and may harm live plants and shrimp if overdosed. Remove activated carbon during treatment and carry out a 25% water change after completing treatment, following the manufacturer's guidance.
