A protein-rich favourite for attracting wild birds to your garden

Give your garden birds a natural source of high-quality protein with Dried Mealworms, a popular food that's loved by many insect-eating wild bird species. Packed with protein and essential nutrients, they're especially valuable during the breeding season when adult birds need extra energy and young chicks require a protein-rich diet for healthy growth.

Easy to feed and highly versatile, dried mealworms can be offered from bird tables, ground feeding areas or specialist feeders. They can also be soaked in water before feeding to provide extra moisture, making them even more appealing to hungry birds.

Why we like it

Dried mealworms are one of the best foods for attracting robins, blackbirds and other insect-loving garden birds. They're a fantastic way to provide natural nutrition throughout the year, particularly in spring and summer when birds are raising their young. We like offering them alongside seed mixes and suet products to create a varied feeding station that caters for a wide range of species.

  • Ideal for feeding all year round, especially during the breeding season

Always keep feeding areas clean and provide fresh, clean drinking water nearby.

Our Pet Shop Tip

Try soaking dried mealworms before putting them out during spring and early summer. The added moisture makes them easier for adult birds to feed to their chicks and can make them even more attractive to visiting birds. For the best results, offer mealworms alongside sunflower hearts and a quality wild bird seed mix to encourage an even greater variety of garden visitors.
