API Melafix
Help treat bacterial infections and support the healing of damaged tissue with API Melafix, an antibacterial aquarium treatment made using Melaleuca (tea tree) extract. Its effective formula is designed to treat a range of common bacterial problems in aquarium fish, including fin and tail rot, open wounds, eye cloud, popeye, body slime and mouth fungus.
API Melafix can also be used when introducing new fish to help reduce the risk of disease outbreaks. It is suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums and helps promote the regrowth of damaged fins and tissue while affected fish recover.

Our Pet Shop Tip
Good water quality is important when treating bacterial problems, so keep your aquarium clean and monitor your water parameters throughout treatment. If a fish has an open wound or damaged fins, keeping stress to a minimum can also help support recovery.
When adding new fish to your aquarium, API Melafix can be used as a preventative treatment for the first three days. Remember to remove activated carbon during treatment so it does not remove the treatment from the water.
